Save the Children's Child Protection program is organizing a photo
exhibition to observe CRC Day which falls on 20th November 2011. Everyone
is invited to participate in this photo exhibition.
Objectives
- To raise awareness on Children's rights to the public
Theme
Children in Myanmar: Contrasting Experiences of Childhood
Rules and regulations
- Photo depicting the contrasting experiences of childhood in
Myanmar
- Entries must be unedited. Photos that have been altered to
excessively improve or enhance will not be accepted
- The photo(s) should be the context of Myanmar and Myanmar
children
- The photo(s) must have approval from the children appeared in the
photos and must have approval letter from their guardians in advance
- Validity within one year
- Entries should be 300 dpi JPEG or TIFF files
- Must be new photo that has never been used for other purpose
- Should be one to two photos (no more than two photos per
contestant)
- Should be submitted in hard copy (12"x16" size) as well as in
soft copy in CD.
- The Photographer should give the name of the photo he/she
presents with brief description about the photo(s)
- Deadline to submit photos is 11th November 2011.
" SCiM holds the right to use any of the photos displayed during the
exhibition for future purpose of producing IEC materials such as calendar,
post cards, billboards, etc."
Appraisal scheme
A Professional from Photographer Association, an international professional
photographer and the program director (thematic) will be invited as the
appraisers.
Award
The best photo – 500,000 ks.
Second best photo – 400,000 ks.
Third best photo – 300,000 ks.
Award winners are kindly requested to contribute a portion of their award as
a donation to voluntary children's groups.
Screened photos will be displayed from November (16) to (18) at Institut
Français de Birmanie. 340 Pyay Road, San Chaung Township, Yangon. The best
winning prizes will be presented on the last day of exhibition.
